1. Alicia’s mom died by suicide; she drove directly into a wall with Alicia in the backseat. Alicia wonders if her mom tried to kill her, too. Ultimately, Alicia thinks she should not have children, as she worries that there are some of her mom’s instincts in her. (Part 2, Chapter 1)
